Roasted Maple Baru Seeds

  • 1/4 cup pure maple syrup
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/8 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 tsp salt 150 grams
  • Baru Baron's baru seeds


  1. Put maple syrup, vanilla, cinnamon and cayenne into a small sauce pan.
  2. Bring to a gentle bowl over medium low heat. Stir constantly until thickens about 4 mins.
  3. Once thickened add in Baru seeds stir and put on parchment paper to cool.
  4. Sprinkle with salt and allow to cool.
  5. Enjoy on salads, oatmeal, or have as a simple snack.
