A very interesting Master’s dissertation was published back in 2014 in Brazil with in vivo trials of baru seeds regarding obesity in women. The conclusion? Eating 20g of baru seeds every day, with a normocaloric prescription, reduced adiposity, improved lipid profile and increased antioxidant enzyme activity in overweight women.
This article is incredible for its richness and comparative tables with other nuts and seeds, and its description of other effects from a baru diet, such as hip size reduction.
